CDG20-Government Experience Overall Awards

Introduction

The Center for Digital Government (CDG) invites nominations for its GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE AWARDS 2020 where we celebrate achievements and learn best practices from U.S. states, counties, and cities. We will recognize communities that have gone beyond simply using the web to radically improve upon the experience of government and are pushing the boundaries of how services are delivered.

New for 2020: We’ve added a special COVID-19 response section at the end of the nomination to capture how state and local governments used technology to respond to the COVID-19 situation

Top government jurisdictions, agencies and departments will be featured in a half-day Experience Academy. They will be honored at a high-energy, celebratory awards event (TBD) while also being featured in Government Technology and other publications.

All programs that are nominated must be fully implemented by the due date. There are no other time limitations, such as the number of years the experience has been operational.

Extended Deadline: Nominations must be submitted online by Friday, July 31, 2020.

CDG thanks Adobe, Akamai, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Laserfiche, McAfee, NIC, Nutanix, Oracle, SHI, Spectrum Enterprise, TeamDynamix, Tyler Technologies, Veeam and Verizon Enterprise Solutions as underwriters of the awards program/academy and banquet.
Overall Experience Awards
All U.S. state, county and city governments may nominate their jurisdiction's user experience in the Overall category.

Award categories:

Awards Process:
The awards nomination consists of the online submission. The nominations will be reviewed and judged based on the evaluation criteria. Scoring will be based on the review of URLs/online/other referenced experiences (50%); and on the answers and written information in responses (50%).

An Evaluation Panel will select recipients in the above categories. Judges may select nominations for a Special or Innovation Award in a specific area.
